[livejournal.com profile] plutosonium found this unusual piece of quizzage.

Yep, still got the chops. Ave atque vale. Et mirabilia. Et cetera.

Emperor
You scored 100%!
All hail the Emperor of Rome! You reign supreme amongst all of the Romans. Anything you order is obeyed without question. The wealth of Rome is your to do with as you please, and all of the people bow when your chariot rolls by. You are both loved and feared for your power, and your name will be remembered for all of history. Someday, people will be quoting you--in your own language, of course!

I'm a Secret Weapon (or telum arcanum if you prefer): Latin major in college, M.A.(Cantab. in Classics), PhD in Medieval Latin.

It's fun to get back to it after years away and still be able to read it without having to stop much to translate.

Another Princeps Senatus here, with 90%.

Not bad for someone who never studied Latin. Admittedly, I figured some of them out from the obvious root words for some things in French, and others came from being at least moderately well-read.

85%, which apparently raises me to teh heights of a Princeps Senatus... but I bow to the Emperor, nonetheless. I have to confess that although I knew a lot of the sayings by heart (and thus they were easy) and was able to work out some others because every other choice but the right one sounded ludicrous, I had to out-and-out guess several of them. My guesses were educated but I never took Latin at school so apparently I wasn't educated enough [grin]

Still. I didn't do too badly on a wing and a prayer...

Yet another Princeps Senatus... I want to know which ones I missed, darnit.

My verb vocabulary has suffered but I remembered enough of the nouns to get through. (It's only been 10 years since I used any of it. :P)

I'm assuming you mean [livejournal.com profile] dancinghorse's degree. =D I'm working from guesswork based on singing latin pieces in choruses. I wanted to study Latin in high school, but they cancelled it the year before I was able to sign up, then started it up again two years after I graduated. GRRRRRR. But I studied German instead.

I'm blathering. I clearly need more coffee.

I'm Princips Senatus, with 90%---not bad for someone who was going on cognates to interpret the Latin, a language I've never studied.

Fun test!

Princeps Senatus with 90%, 99% on knowledge. Whoa! Didn't feel confident taking it. Took German, always a ferocious reader. Yeah. Word roots. That's it.
