I would certainly hope so.

The Expatriate
Achtung! You are 7% brainwashworthy, 22% antitolerant, and 19% blindly patriotic
Congratulations! You are not susceptible to brainwashing, your values and cares extend beyond the borders of your own country, and your Blind Patriotism does not reach unhealthy levels. If you had been German in the 30s, you would've left the country.

One bad scenario -- as I hypothetically project you back in time -- is that you just wouldn't have cared one way or the other about Nazism. Maybe politics don't interest you enough. But the fact that you took this test means they probably do. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt.

Did you know that many of the smartest Germans departed prior to the beginning of World War II, because they knew some evil shit was brewing? Brain Drain. Many of them were scientists. It is very possible you could have been one of them.

Conclusion: born and raised in Germany in the early 1930's, you would not have been a Nazi.

I felt compelled to comment on this at length, so I'm taking it to my own livejournal. Can we say I felt slightly uneasy about this test as a meme...

Yes, it makes me uneasy, too. But the political climate in the US is frankly horrifying. If you think it's scary looking at it from outside, try living in it.

well, Lipps are always welcome up here! But we just elected a minority conservative government AND gave the LAST conservative PM (from the 80s) an award as the most evironmentally progressive PM ever so I can't confirm that we will be any better in a few years. *sigh*

One of today's pundits thinks the US wave of far-right conservatism peaked with the 2004 elections. Oh lord I hope so. Backlash would be a very good thing about now--especially when you consider that fairly dogmatic conservatives are now regarded as flaming libruls, and true liberals are right off the scale (cast into the outer darkness with the rest of the Not Our Kind, Dear).

I came up as an expatirate also... I should hope so, shall I just say that the parts of my family that didn't fight against the nazi's, had rather unpleasant accomodations?

Though I have to say, it's a rather big eye opener to talk to someone who lived under nazi occupation. What you think you'd have done if you were there gets a rather large dose of reality when you find out what surviving was like.
