Snow Day!

We were expecting wind and rain, and maybe temps in the 40s F. Along about noon, we got temps right around freezing, and a brief but rather spectacular snowstorm.

The proof is in the photos.

I remember as a little kid in Tucson having snow days. We'd get up, Mom would bundle us up in All The Clothes, and by the time we got outside the light dusting on the ground would be almost gone. It was still very, very cool.

So the Sonoran Desert gets snow but still none for the mountains of Southwest Virginia!

...and it seems that parts of Virginia (though perhaps not the mountains of the Southwest) will get what the storm didn't give to Tucson tomorrow! The pictures are fantastic; my sister lives in Tucson but hasn't mentioned if it snowed on her.
