Book Signing on Friday
Jun. 7th, 2004 12:50 pmYes, an actual signing. Here's the press release:
Tucson Genre Writers Discuss Their Work - Reader's Oasis, 3400 E. Speedway, No. 114. Meet three of Tucson's top genre fiction writers at the Genre Writers Roundtable: crime writer J.M. Hayes ("Prairie Gothic," Pocket Books, $6.99), mystery author Susan Cummins Miller ("Detachment Fault," Texas Tech University Press, $24.95), and fantasy novelist Judith Tarr ("Queen of the Amazons," Tor Books, $24.95). 7-8:30 p.m. June 11. Free. (520) 319-7887.
This should be fun. Reader's Oasis has a great setup where it does a symposium or panel instead of a conventional signing. This one is about genre writers who bring in other fields to their work--history, biology, geology, whatever. I hear Susan Miller will be on one of the local PBS shows to talk about what she's doing--Arizona Illustrated, I think.
