My personal best was a fifteen cat night, up in Santa Cruz, 1975. It was January, their cottage, hanging over a stream, was not heated. She asked before making up the couch bed if I didn't mind cats on me in the night.

Bring 'em on, was my response. When I woke up sweltering and unable to move about one a.m., I woke enough to count nine warm weights on my body, from neck to feet, and the rest against my sides. I could not move a muscle lest there be serious cat squashage.

I do! on the colder days in winter, all four will do that until I cannot even get out of bed. recent changes in lifestyle puzzle them, but they we still wake up with 2-3 cats pinning us in. thankgod the dog doesn't sleep on the bed, else we'd be on the floor :P
