I'm Lipi-neeping over at the Southwest Lipizzan Association blog, with photos. And talking about the Dreaded Editorial Letter at NaNoEdMo

Discussion of the Dunning-Kruger Effect on the rider and the writer is ongoing at Book View Cafe, too.

Meanwhile we are getting sandblasted by the March Winds, which at least are drying out the mud. One of those "you still can't ride anything that isn't dead solid calm, but on the bright side, you're not sinking in the quicksand any more" good news/bad news conundra.

I love that article at NaNoEdMo. I certainly felt that pain when I received your feedback on NORMAL last fall. It physically hurt to read about the screwed up state of my novel. Days later I started the full rewrite and removed half of the book.

Six months later it's still requiring little fixes as I get critiques on OWW, but the feedback is overwhelmingly positive. The agony was worth it to see total strangers say, "I'm hooked."

Lipizzans sound so right. A lot of horse without a lot of height is just what my warped brain that screams "danger, danger" at anything over 16 hands would need. Though unless my riding school suddenly turns into the Spanish Riding School, I'll have to wait until I win the lottery.
