If you love Arthurian fantasy, these are good 'uns. Definitely worth the regular price--and at this price, a steal.

In other news, for them as was worried and/or have been reading [livejournal.com profile] casacorona's lj and wondering how we did over here in the lower right-hand corner of the Great Arizona Wind and Precip Event, we are wet and muddy but otherwise undamaged. Unlike the windstorms of December, which ripped shelters apart and traumatized the Pooka, these somehow managed to swoop around and over us. The shed had its door sucked open, but there was no rain damage inside (among other things, the saddles are stored in there). I will need to tack down a shingle or two on the house roof. Otherwise we came through intact. We've taken much worse damage in monsoon storms (the microburst of July '05, e.g., that deposited a chunk of the barn roof in the middle of the arena, 75 feet due north of where it belonged).

And in other other news, copyedits for House of the Star have gone back to New York. I don't have a cover yet, but the blurbs are starting to come in, and very nice they are. It will be published under the byline of Caitlin Brennan, and the imprint is Tor Starscape. Magic horses, the Wild Hunt, and Arizona--we're all about the fun here.

Next weekend Pook and I will be in Scottsdale at our long-deferred SRS clinic. That's the 29th-31st; we're hauling up on the 28th. Yes, thank our lucky stars it wasn't this weekend. The route we'll have to take was in truly harrowing condition when we'd have had to take it, and then we'd have run into road closures and major flooding when we got there. Definitely worth waiting a week.

I will neep after that. I promise. We were on a fair way to being ready, but the arena being ankle-deep in mud may slow preparations down between now and Thursday. We'll do what we can, and rest assured that no matter how useless I am, Pook will dial up the pretty and all will be well.

Wow! You guys really got clobbered down there--how often does this happen?

(Still thinking fondly about the Christmas expedition DH and I did down there last year. But this is much more snow and nasty weather than we brought to you all then)

Oh boy, I an so relieved. I hadn't realized I missed a couple of days of postings (bit under the weather,) so when I ready your mysterious tweets I got a wee bit frantic.

Very glad you, the Pook and all are ok.
