The MillaMobile and Friends
Sep. 20th, 2009 08:16 pmThese are from yesterday. Today was all about riding ze keed out of the arena, then in the arena and pushing his buttons and getting all these nice things. And Camilla being Snarky because she wanted another ride. She'll get one tomorrow.
Portait of a Lady: Ephiny in the evening light:

This shot actually looks the way Camilla's trot feels. In short, like flying:

A broader perspective:

Negotiating obstacles 101 (Tia being the Obstacle):

This one has a story behind it. Tia is not physically ready to carry a rider yet--she needs to grow some more and develop strength and muscle mass. But mentally she Wants It So Bad. She will do a pas de deux with me when I ride Capria, walking, trotting, and halting with us on my verbal command--without any tack, mind. This is all her idea.
Last night she saw
birdhousefrog doing groundwork with Pandora, and decided this was something she wanted to do. The others were amenable, with some bemusement on the human's part. And there they are, the wise older mare, the human doing homework, and the young mare (just a little more than a filly) all thinky and happy and focused:

That is going to be one hell of a riding horse. She has already informed me that she is Capria's successor, and I might as well live with it, because she has it all planned.

Camilla looks utterly settled under saddle - like an old trooper, very attentive, without a trace of uncertainty. And Tia is a hoot. And, ok, Pandora is not the slightest of Lipps, but the difference in maturity betwen Tia and the older ones is pretty obvious - she has a lot of maturing to do, however eager she is.
