First half of subject line stolen ruthlessly and without moral compass (just call me Newt, folks) from

I think I need to run a score sheet. The kitchen calendar is starting to look like one.
Repaired so far: garbage disposal, oven. Kitchen faucet purchased, not yet installed. Would install if I had time, which so far I haven't managed.
Rendered Perfect, finally: Oreo, this afternoon. Went well, is going well so far. He's completely unfazed, a little sore but showing no signs of trauma. The Wonder Vet is good. Now we have two weeks of modulated hell known as The Aftercare, which I hope keed will help with--he's been through it, he can lend a hoof.
Cleared for action: Pandora. We're going to give it one more college try. Well, Pooka is. They say a stallion can succeed where technology fails. We'll see.
Amid all this, Ephiny's normally large and intelligent brain evaporated in a fog of spring hormones, and she took off at a dead run, realized too late she was running out of space, hit the brakes just wrong, and did a high-speed slider into the arena fence...just as vet was getting in truck to leave. She's not seriously injured, but she looks as if she's been through a cheese grater. She has meds and Instructions, to go with with Oreo's Instructions and Pandora's Instructions. And, sigh, Bill. The fence has been repaired, more or less. I'm going to have to replace that fenceline fairly soon, with all they've done to it, but it will last a while longer.
Capria's new saddle is here. Amazing; I just ordered it last Thursday. It fits as well as expected, and will do nicely; we've been needing it for some time now.
I test-drove it tonight. Yes, that means I'm mostly back up to speed. Still a little weak but doing real rides again--Pandora offered the first one, on Tuesday, and I've been catching up since. Pook is starting to demand a turn again. I'm hoping he'll get the lesson Sunday.
The next week is backed up solid. Must visit parentals tomorrow. Visit with friend who will be in town Saturday. Lessons Sunday, as mentioned--lady is coming who wants to buy a Lipizzan and has a learning curve ahead of her. Monday, friend wants to visit, will bring lunch. Tuesday, lunch in town with colleague. Wednesday, vet for kitty who has what looks like tooth abscess, which will probably result in her having surgery later in the week. Will need hay delivery by then. And must do much much much cleaning and yardwork to prepare for Camp Lipizzan week after next. Plus there is, you know, a book deadline. And other things of like nature.
And before I totally forget, the EW review of The Serpent and the Rose is up online, here.
Tack geeks, did you know PetsMart is closing its State Line section? Great news for the local tack stores. Crappy news for convenience shoppers. I hope they don't close down stateline.com--I live by that site and its regular offers of free shipping.
Then again, maybe there are some nasty-looking teethmarks on the hull.

Date: 2007-03-16 03:26 pm (UTC)doesn't affect me since I no longer have a SLT near me, but MAN I've gotten some crazy deals (like your $5 bit!) when they did clearances on the SLT sections before ;) those I'm going to miss badly.
