Baby has a name
Jul. 7th, 2006 10:01 amCo-owner has agreed, so it can be official. TH (for Toad Hill where he was born) Coronado, aka Oreo. He likes Oreo. And scrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrritchies. Boy is a scritchies-holic. He sees me, he scampers up, he presents the portion of his anatomy that itches. This is good. Humans = good things. We want him to make that connection.
Today, otherwise, is teh suck. Der puter suddently presented Green Screen in the middle of a gmail reply, needed to be rebooted and is still very slightly funky (no screen saver)--is this a bug or a feature in Firefox or do I need to call Dell before the machine dies the death? Anybody know? This is rather critical as I Must have a working puter with working wi-fi in Dallas in 11 days, and I Really need a working puter meanwhile. The backup is barely hanging on and needs a new keyboard.
Taminy-cat, the one who usually needs the hospital when sick, is sick. I hope it's temporary and he gets over it or there will be no trip to Dallas. He'll take that part of the budget.
And da Pook is lame. Stone bruise. Good thing he isn't going to Texas with me after all. He can rest and get over it and get back to work in two weeks.
Mercury is retrograde. And how.

Date: 2006-07-07 05:18 pm (UTC)Any chance the computer might have gotten overheated? That was causing mine to get wonky a few days ago.
The only other thing I can think of is maybe your video driver needs a reinstall, but I'm pulling that one straight out of my arse. :}
I forget, did you spring for the in-home service? If so, get on chat with Dell Support right now and set up an appointment. They'll be there by Monday or Tuesday (two business days), plenty of time before you go to TX.
(No *kidding* is Mercury retrograde right now. I've been dealing with travel hell all week, and we haven't even left yet ...)
