Did you, by any chance, ride hunters at one point?
Ayup. Started saddle seat, did some Western, did hunters in college, went to dressage after that. Took me years to get my seat back to vertical, years more to get it into the saddle, and now we're finally working on the Hand Thing.
I always did have a pretty good leg, so that was one thing I didn't fuss too much about. I like the long, draped dressage leg, it's very secure and easy for me. But the rest of it...oy. Just oy.
