Though I won't be at the chat, I have been wanting to tell you that finding _The Mountain's Call_ at the Barnes & Noble down the block from Northeascon 4 last Tuesday made me a very happy camper (er, home-going con-survivor). For some reason (possibly because this year I spent most of my time in the Dealers' Room ogling beads and gems or velvety peacock wraps instead of picking over the bookseller's wares, or possibly because I'd already snapped up Suricattus' novel and other new releases instead of saving them for con-shopping, I ended the con without finding that perfect Good Read for the trip home.

Then, on my last afternoon in Boston, while on a mad dash to the B&N restroom in a ten-minute window between buying the ticket and check-in time for one of the Boston Duck amphibious sightseeing tours just outside the store, I spotted TMC and POUNCED! And loved it. Loved it much more because I've been lurking here in your LJ and in Doranna's sff.net ng and other places where I learned more of the subtleties of equitation than are revealed to horse-mad little girls who only ride a few times a year and the occasional half-term at riding camp, too.

When is the next one coming out????????? :-)
