It's up all over the place, but I wanted to be sure lj got its own special delivery.

Not your usual book trailer. Mostly, it's Fat White Ponies. :)

Although apparently I am not very coherent. Brain=dead. Let me rephrase. I'm so glad I showed up on LJ for the first time in 2 months today, because I got to see this! I love it!

I like it, Judy -- and showing off the stars in their real guises was a spark of genius. May you get many viewings, and many sales because of it!

Wonderful video! You capture that wonder horse people have for their horses. Lovely to see you ride and your lovely family.

Must get all of my horsey friends to buy books now. :) Ooooh! I have a Horse Masters (Pony Club for adults) meeting tomorrow. Must show them the video.

She also managed to convey both the beauty and the alien feel of the Sonoran desert. May it sell tons! I am not convinced about trailers -- I've seen some boring ones -- but this held my interest every moment. She did a great job indirectly selling the book, and also selling you and the horses. Definitely keep this trailer link around when you are selling horse camp!

The filmmaker was enthralled.

What beautiful, beautiful horses! I thought I'd gotten over my hopeless horse-girl fantasies when I was a kid (I grew up in an urban area where those fantasies really were hopeless), but watching your trailer made me feel them all over again. I can't wait to read the book!

So great and it really makes me feel even more envy for horse camp members *sigh*.
They should make a documentary about Dancing Horse Farm and Horse Camp with writers!

I can't tell the horses apart either, so the model for Moondance was Pooka? And they were all so shiny! Except for after the sandbath ^^.

What a glorious video! I'm buying this book asap! I agree that horses and people just "click." I don't own any now, but have most of my life. MIss them so much. Your writings just "click" with me. :-)

Thank you. :) I know my girls would agree with you. Do you dream of riding?

Off to order the book! :) Is there a particular format (i.e., paper or ebook) where you'll have a better return? I"ll get whichever will help you the most.

That's what I like about it. It's not a commercial. It's a documentary about the horses and their book.

Good point about Camp!

I have riding dreams, yes. Always did. You, too, I'm sure.

Paper probably, because those figures will help determine whether I sell them the sequel.

Thank you very very much for all your support.

Yes, the sand polishes their already iridescent coats. And yep, that was Pooka.

You know, about a Camp documentary--that's a good idea. I bet our Campers would love to play.

And then, and then you can show the documentary at conventions and get more business ^^. All for it, as long as it keeps you in health and feed and you have some time left for writing ^^

Well, it only took two days to watch this in its entirety. Sloooowww connection and I gave up occasionally... but glad I stuck it out this morning.

Some one put me on the back of a Thoroughbred when I was a few months old too. A shy and crying baby, I was happy as can be atop that very first steed. And I love your punishment for 'goofing off' in class. You rebel.

I have the book. Now I just need to find a moment to camp out in my barn aisle and read while the horses are munching hay... ;)

The local Barnes and Noble had two copies of your book. I found it under the "New" section for Young Adult readers. I bought one and left the other for another person to find. I've been telling lots of people at the barn today.

Oddly enough, I dream about riding when I've been facing a particular issue. The dream says "No sit like this, feel this movement, and don't ignore this." And then it works. :) Listen to the inner mare!
