In between deadlines, on a lovely spring day (didn't even crack 90F today--unheard of in mid-May), I went out to feed the horses their lunch. With something for [livejournal.com profile] birdhousefrog.

That cholla is GORGEOUS! Thank you. I think Beth said it's a staghorn cholla. Someone suggested that. It looked so dead on the 1st of May and then it just pops out those red and yellow beauties. Oh my!
