The Most Beautiful Spring There Ever Was (and Camp)

I'm taking a day off after a very busy and intense week of April Camp. It was, from my perspective, a tremendous success. It was also a non-writing, all-horse Camp, which meant days in the barn plus sightseeing and visitors. We rode, we drove hither and yon, we rode some more. We ate much good food. tcastleb is an enthusiastic convert to the concept of the cheese platter, thanks to birdhousefrog. Nom.

birdhousefrog has blogged, with photos, her experience. I've posted a whole lot of photos of our Beltane expedition to Saguaro National Park East. I've never seen so many wildflowers, and they've never lasted so long--thanks to a much cooler than normal spring after a phenomenally wet winter.

I'll have additions to Ephiny's Training Diary realsoonnow, but today is a brain-free day. The wind is horrendous; I'm keeping an eye on the barn to make sure it doesn't blow to El Paso. Otherwise I'm essentially a puddle.
