The frenzy continues. Today was hit the grocery store day--loading up on baking and Christmas supplies. I was pleased that in spite of losing the lengthy list right before going into the store, I only forgot three items, none critical. Go Me. I also finally mailed cards and a couple of family gifts.
Then I came home and cleaned both freezers and one refrigerator because I need space to stow everything. After which I was too pooped to ride, but Pook and I did short walkies--which the Girlz used as an excuse to go bananas. The best move, among many, was Ephiny blasting past Camilla's rear just as Camilla let fly with her heels. Ephiny simply jumped the whole lot--heels, hocks, and all. (Remember: Lipizzans Can't Jump.)(Er, yeah. That's what they'll tell you. Never mind, like, the Airs, you know?)
Pooka was remarkably composed through all of this--just a little archiness and some flared nostrils. He was focusing on me rather nicely.
Lessons tomorrow. And more frenzy. The advantage of all this is, I end up with a much cleaner and pleasanter house, I can find things in the closets, and there will be a freezerful of goodies to pull out for guests through the rest of the winter.
Many of those goodies will involve chocolate chips. It seems I kept forgetting I had them, and kept buying a new bag and tossing it in the freezer. Same applies to nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds). Inspiration will strike, I'm sure.
