suricattus linked to an artist's take on the kvetching about the art Hugos, and lo and behold, the reason why Donato Giancola deserves a Hugo is illustrated by one of my covers: the one for The Golden Rose. It's a stunningly gorgeous cover, but I hadn't realized the Society of Illustrators agreed--and gave the art its highest award. Well deserved, and the blogger, as an artist, explains exactly why.
