Cavalia

[livejournal.com profile] lynnesite has her incredible Cavalia photos up here. This is what my LUNA books are about. (And I want those images on my covers!)

That's um...I err...WOW! I wanna play.

They probably will come to a city near you at some point--if so, do go. They're incredible.

If you show that to Pook, he will demand extensions.

Nah. He says his hair is Perfect.

Beautiful. Thank you!

[identity profile] mizkit.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. *Wow*. It's very sad that they're incredibly unlikely to ever come to Alaska. Wow.

[identity profile] dancinghorse.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Could you make a pilgrimage?

[identity profile] mizkit.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 11:37 am (UTC)(link)
I might be able to pull off a pilgramage at some point. Wow. It looks like it would *so* be worth it! You do regular pilgramages yourself, yes?

[identity profile] miintikwa.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
WOW! Those images are incredible!

[identity profile] miintikwa.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
I really wanted to go see the Lipps when they came to Tampa a few years ago when we were there, but then my husband got promoted and we had to move! They didn't come back while I was there after we moved back. :( And there's not much chance of them hitting Tallahassee, sadly.

WOWZERS!

Thanks for sharing those images. Talk about gorgeous!

[identity profile] dancinghorse.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
You're welcome. I got a lot of story ideas while I was sitting there. They're cantering around in the backbrain.

[identity profile] sartorias.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
Ohhh, good!

Looking forward...

They're in Scottsdale right now. Should I go?

[identity profile] starfall42.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
You're the boss. I just got tickets for Iris and I for the 23rd.

[identity profile] smoemeth.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Woo!!!

You're really going to enjoy it. It was well worth the flight to AZ and the 5-hour round trip from Tucson. :)

What She Said. The photo gallery [livejournal.com profile] lynnesite put up sums it up beautifully. Those photos were what made me sure I had to see this.

[identity profile] christymarx.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. Holy phoquing wow. I have a lump in my throat from the emotions those pictures created.

[identity profile] dancinghorse.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
The effect of the show live is incredibly powerful. Those images come to life--it's amazing.

Beautiful, beautiful pictures and horses.

Thanks for pointing me in their direction.

[identity profile] maryosmanski.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. my. God.

I know when [livejournal.com profile] sfmarty sees these, she will also be thinking of the arena and horses we saw when we went out to Chantilly form Paris on our "big trip" during my sabbatical.

[identity profile] haikujaguar.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 08:32 am (UTC)(link)
Oh-my-gosh-the-hair!

[identity profile] sfmarty.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yes, Mary. That was a splendid time. (Do you remember the dressage mule?)

I did go to Cavalia when they were in San Francisco and really hope they come back so I can go again. The photos are great, but they just can't show the scope of the show, which starts with free horses strolling across the "stage".

All of the performers, horses, musicians, riders, etc., are so obviously having a great time. I think that is where the magic lies. That and their beauty.

[identity profile] maryosmanski.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
(Do you remember the dressage mule?)

I think the mule has slipped my mind. I do remember the "Cossack" rider who was standing/riding on two at the time.

Stunning.

Is this a Cirque du Soleil branch, or a totally different group? (Having seen a Cirque co-founder in Lynn's pics...)
