Notes from the Blanket Brigade
It's April, right? It's Palm Sunday today. It's, like, spring, you know? It's also 45 degrees and MUDDY. And the horses have therefore undergone Blanket Brigade, which involves hauling seven horse blankets through the mud, two by two and trying not to get mud on them, then slinging them over usually muddy backs and fastening them up and moving on to the next half-ton wiggleworm yelling I'm COLD, Mom! I Wanna Be WAAARRRRRMMMMM!
It's very athletic. I recommend it as an alternative to the Nautilus machine.
Amid the waterproof-breathable-horse-in-plaid gymnastics, I managed to drive to Tucson and pick up
windrose and bring her back to the farm. The Fat White Ponies were very glad to see her, and Carrma, Mother of Nations, usually very aloof, insisted on giving her an audience.
Tomorrow, Tombstone. And Passover.

It's been cool here as well for the past couple of weeks, too cool really to swim, which is unusual.
